Roman Wall Lodges

Camping Cabins / Wigwams

Camping cabins on on Hadrian's Wall The camping cabin, also known as the Wigwam, is a very versatile building. Its internal layout allows it to be transformed from a relaxation and eating area into a sleeping area in just a couple of minutes. These cabins are ‘no smoking’.

The cabin can be used for up to four people depending on ages and how well people know each other! The seating areas are quickly and easily converted into a large sleeping shelf with very comfortable mattresses. Pillows and sleeping bags (with liners) can be provided if requested.

The cabin is insulated to a very high standard which means that it stays cool in the summer and warm during the winter. The cabin has a convector heater which can be used to maintain the temperature during the coldest of winters.

The kitchen area is equipped with a microwave oven/grill, fridge, toaster and kettle. There is also crockery and cutlery, as well as all the essentials such as corkscrew/tin opener etc. A washing-up bowl and drying towel are also provided. There is no water inside these cabins but there is a water point very nearby.

These cabins also have TV and radio.
